It is up to decent Muslims, moderate Muslims if you prefer, who must morginalize their killer brethern. More than that, decent Islam must condemn and bring to justice the killers in their midst. Decent Islam, decent people of all persuasions will more and more come to realize the stupidity of murder in the name of hatred. Hatred itself is ultimately self destructive.

Islam is in need of reform. But we must not take the attitude that moderate Muslims don't exist.

I'll bet if Mr. Byrnes had canvassed Muslims living in London, he would have heard a different take entirely.

If massive measures need be undertaken, quarantine is too expensive and for all the expense not workable. Instead, all the Muslims should be sent to where they came from. If they want to live under Muslim law in particular than they belong in the Muslim countries.

The melting pot worked in the past; people became Americans in the process. Now there are people, the Muslims in particular who don't melt. They stay alien. Islam forbids assimilation. Islam hates Isreal and hates Jesus, even if not actively preached on any given day. Muslims come to America to take advantage of its promise, it's opportunity like those who have come from all over the world through the centuries. Muslims wish to 'take America' and make it theirs, make it Muslim. That attitude spells conflict for America.

I see that you and I disagree on this point: I say the mainstream Muslims are being too quiet, and must make a stand. You say they don't exist (at least in statistically significant numbers).

There are at least a million Muslims living in the USA. Had they been the Jesus-haters Daniel talks about, I'd be willing to bet on at least a few post-9-11 terrorist attacks in our country. But nothing happened.

Re People of the Book: this is a two edged sword in Islam. Christians and Jews are monotheists who possess a previous revelation from Allah --so far so good-- but they have distorted it and been rejected by Allah; hence the need for a Muhammad. This is the nub. When Islam takes over a society --as it did the Christians societies of North Africa, Near East in 7th Centuries, and later parts of Spain and Eastern Europe-- the People of Book are (officially) spared the choice given to polytheists (submission to Allah or death) and are instead allowed to live in a Jim Crow/South African apartheid world as dhimmis, "protected people" (a kind of Muslim pc bullshit). Check out the Sharia prescriptions. The periods of Muslim "tolerance" all followed Muslim military conquest and were the result of Islam's complete ascendancy. After all,when you are in control, you can afford to institutionalize submission and inferiority and call that tolerance. Here endeth the lesson.

Moderate Muslims exist but they are have a similar attitude towards the Islamist powers that non Muslims have; they live in fear. All human beings tend towards decency but the innocent must by necesity be afraid of the powers that run Islam. For instance, Muslim women must be afraid of even looking like they are unfaithful to their husbands because they know they can be killed. If the local imam has his eye on you, than you had better act enthused and raise your arms in rage at the proper cues like 'death to Israel.' If the imam is evil the innocent are in trouble because the imam is very powerful. He can coerce his subjects to do evil.

Islam is in an awkward position. The Arab Islamic nations have enjoyed being on the receiving end of the greatest transfer of wealth in history and yet Arab/Islamic influence and culture on the decline despite their great wealth and their great population. Their money has allowed the Arabs to send their children to the finest schools in the world for many generations now but in science and manufacturing innovations they stand virtually nowhere. By now the Arabs could have built their own car industy and aviation industry and cell phone industry and computer industry, etc. Instead they have squandered their wealth and their minds. The know they look like losers and they have to ask why. Why do the infidels of the West continue to excel?

Rather than seek to lift themselves up, many Arab Muslims would prefer to bring the West down. Typical lazy evil attitude than the sinful can fall into.

Certainly their is some difference there but I think one of the major flaws of Islam is that it teaches such discrimination. It teaches that the infidel is as dirty as a pig. The Saudis treated the American Army stationed there to save Saudi Arabia from Sadam in the early 90's as so many pigs penned up. Even the most ignorant pigmy knows instinctively that this is wrong.

Islams flaws mattered less when Islam was hidden in its own corner of the world. Yes, they enslaved many and sold humans on the worlds slave market but now the world has shrunk too much. We here in the Denver area had a situation pop up: A nice Muslim couple had a slave in their house for four years. The light of day is more and more shining onto the flaws of Islam. What was once quaint and quirky is now on the world stage. There to be judged for what it is. Islam is fatally flawed.

Same thinh happened with me onne time. It is very much embarasse to go through this sitiuation onve time i thought to sucide but somebody told me that be someone with hard work to do this with that person.

The one thing I will concede is that the Islamo-fascists are harder to fight than even the Nazis, and make the Nazis look human--they had a moral code. It was sick and twisted, but at least semi-comprehensible.

Now we have "we love death more than you love life," and an attempt to bring the entire world back to the Middle Ages.
