I'm still not happy with some grammatical issues in the ad. And I'm perplexed by their choice of firearms.

But I'm a bit flexible about Palin-humor, because I think she's tough enough to take this stuff; all Pres/VP candidates have to put up with some of it.

You will note, however, that I did not post Lisa Nova's second parody about Palin, which was based on that staggeringly unfair interview with ABC's Gibson, and only makes fun of Sarah herself--not the guy who was actually trying to bully her. Fuck that noise.

I saw that Lisa Nova encore when it came out and I thought it made my point about her first. Propaganda for the Dems. Someone just interested in laughs could never resist going after Gibson.

Well, she's a talented woman. But she didn't do her homework on the ABC interview. Not only was it a partisan attack, but her take-off on it was a partisan attack, so Nova is definitely a victim of/a proponent for the echo chamber.

Still liked that first one, because to me there's something funny about the idea of a guy appointing a female VP and assuming that she wouldn't have any voice in policy: that is clearly the opposite of what Johnny Mac is doing. Clearly, he intends to continue in the W tradition of having the VP be a sort of uber-Chief of Staff, and intimately involved in the administration--rather than the too-frequent model of the Veep hanging out across the street in case Mr. Big dies.
